Unstable overclock? Happens to me when I try to OC my reference 5870s. Try bumping down the clock speeds and see how it runs.

If you look through this forum, you will see that 99% of the folks will recommend playing a good ole game to test stability rather than use furmark or something similar. A game will tax your entire system and will show instability pretty accurately. A test like Furmark ONLY tests your GPU.

This.

Avoid Furmark and Kombustor.

Best stability test is gaming.

Yes it is true, I have done this and my 6970's were OC'd higher and tested fine with Kombuster, but them a half hour into gaming and BAM blue screen. So now I run at 900 /1400 solid on my 6970's. GPU 1 in Crossfirex runs warm anyways in a reference design, and having a 10k rpm fan running anything above 50% is ear piercing. eek.gif
