Any cons on this?

Thread Starter
My setup was almost 2 years without a cleaning/flush... one of the loops was really bad with alga (green stuff that I could see on the tubing), so taking everything apart I decided to open the GPU blocks to do a deep clean on it. Now the rubber ring it has around it it's giving me a hard time to sit it properly... so this what I thought that could work but I want to know if it's ok...

I was thinking is no way that I can sit the other part of the block with the rubber ring in place, so I decided to use a little bit of glue...

pics...

comment pls...

one I use the glue already and the other needs to be done yet...

I used masking tape to hold the ring down onto the waterblock. Then put the acetal / delrin cover over the top and screw it down until it is sitting on the block. Then gently pull out the masking tape from between the two.
