[GB] EA bans yet another Dragon Age 2 player - Page 9

lol possible that guy was trolling in the forum, why would you troll in a big corperate forums? Getting yourself risk to be ban, and people that saying you will not buying EA games anymore.. Do you know you have 0% of getting ban if you just buy them game to play nothing else, beside hacking

I for one don't post anything on EA forums, I buy the game (DA2) install it, register for it, then play it, nothing else, i can careless about the forums

And I'm perfectly fine with it if they are dumb enough to keep digging their own grave like that.

Well, he should have read the directions before he came to the party.

Seriously though, he disregarded the rules and got banned. If he can't control himself, then he shouldn't have posted anything on their forums. EA can't do jack about people talking crap about them on other sites, but on their own forum, you better watch what you say if it is against their TOS to do so.

In conclusion, it's his fault. EA is like a parent actually following through with their rules instead of just letting the kids run wild. Even if this parent is a control freak.

Everyone jumping on the "boycott" bandwagon is pathetic.

Either way EA wins. First by generating press that results in a better search engine results. Second, shuts down spam in regards to publishing an unfinished product. I bet we will see more of this right up into Crysis 2 release.

EA lost my money. There are tons of games coming out this year and DA1 wasn't that good to begin with to make me rage for DA2.

Either way I can say with some certainty that I will not be purchasing an EA product anytime soon.
I hope that apology includes a free game

Ah, but you see your post makes you an idiot. Banning a forum account for forum posts, yeah, banning an entire account, games included, over a forum post? No. No bannings of games. At all, unless you're found cheating online. Then, it's fair game and then, yeah, all your games should be forfeit.

He should take them to court, this can't be legal.

I think they'd rather re-activate their account than risk a lawsuit that would damage their reputation.

Although it is quite damaged already.

Lol crappy analogy incoming:

It's like having your pilots license terminated and they took your drivers license too so now you can't drive even though the two aren't related.

A little melodramatic to go with the "anyone who disagrees with me is pathetic" don't you think?

Some people may have skimmed over my last post but I think its worth reiterating in a little bit more detail.

As most of you know this is not the first person to be completely banned from accessing his games over a Dragon Age 2 forum post. This quote was issued by EA pertaining to the person who was banned first.
Quote:
EA strictly enforces the code of conduct at Social.BioWare.com. If a player violates the rules by using profanity, they will be temporarily banned. Unfortunately, there was an error in the system that accidentally suspended a user’s entire account. Immediately upon learning of the glitch, EA took steps to restore the user’s macro account and apologized for the inconvenience.
Source

Now consider this. Was this just some sort of formal response to save face about some non-existent "glitch"? Or was it just a honest mistake that happened not once but twice?

Either way guys something fishy is going on here and the whistle needs to be blown if its going to change.
