So, I'm going to have enough cash soon for one of these options, so I'm counting on you guys to help me decide which way to go.

I use my computer for gaming, internet browsing, and some light office work, mostly text files.

Getting to the point, I'll have cash to get either one Dell U2711 monitor or three U2311 and go eyefinity. Right now I have a Samsung 2443BW, 24inch, 16:10.

OPTION 1: 3xU2311 EYEFINITY

My first intention was to go eyefinity, but I noticed these U2311 monitors are kind of small. So, for games which don't support eyefinity well, I'll have to play on a monitor that is noticeably smaller then my current one, which doesn't really feel like an upgrade.

Main worry is that after the novelty wears off, I'll be left with screens which are individually smaller then my Samsung.

OPTION 2: U2711

On the other hand, U2711 is a little bigger then my current monitor, with a much higher resolution, and will give my cards something to do in most games.

While it won't provide surround gaming, it will give me more screen space, and performance in games will take a smaller hit then with 3x2311.

I've read that input/video lag is not a problem for most people, and I don't think I'll be bothered by AG coating too much, since it's also noticeable on my Samsung - whites being a bit grainy and "sparkling".

Ofc, if someone has experience with both Samsung 2443bw and U2711 feel free to share your thoughts.

Only worry here is that text might be too small to read comfortably (in Office, or RPGs/MMOs). I sit around 60cm from my screen, so feel free to comment on that as well.

So, what would you do? U2711, 3xU2311 or something else?

If you're gaming, the three monitors will definitely add immersion. Make sure that your GPUs can handle it.

i voted the U2711. i'm also of the opinion that triple-monitor gaming is a phase that will fade out over the next few years. time will tell.
