Best Wi-Fi Card ?

Thread Starter
Hey all i'm looking for a new wi-fi card as my current one every so often just disconnects me then reconnects a few seconds later.... Terrible thing when gaming. I dont know too much about wi-fi cards but I did find the one thats in my Asus G72GX, its not hard to get to and was just wondering what I could upgrade to.

I found this one someone already put in a G72 so I know this one will work. Is there one better ?

I replaced my old wireless G router with a new Linksys wireless N but it made no difference so I assume its my wireless card.
Thanks

Yes the intel 6300 is a lot better. It doesnt have built in bluetooth so if you use bluetooth you're going to be giving it up. If you need bluetooth get the intel 6230. The 6300 is a great card but the most important thing about it is that it can use 3 streams, which only works on a VERY FEW routers, so I honestly would go for the 6230 as its cheaper and you get bluetooth, you wont notice much of a difference between the two cards unless you have a 3 stream router.

That card will only give you a benefit if you have three antennas. Usually ASUS laptops come with two.
