DDR3-1600 Overclocking Help

Thread Starter
Right now I have 8 GB (2x4 GB) Ripjaws X DDR3-1600 CL9 running stable at 1448 MHz (181x8) 8-8-8-24-1T @ 1.5V. I want to run at 1810 MHz (181x10) but I can't seem to get it stable. I'm not too familiar with RAM overclocking. Any ideas?

So far the loosest timings I've tried is 10-10-10-27 @ 1.6 V and I froze up while watching a movie. Upped to 1.66 V and I froze immediately, is there such thing as too much Vdimm?

Is it worth trying looser timings? Higher Vdimm? Higher VTT? Is there something I'm missing? Thanks.

BIOS settings:
BCLK: 181
VID: 1.3625
VTT: 1.25

Use HyperPi @ 32M to test it
Yes there can be such a thing as too much vDIMM
10-10-10 is very impractical by the way

That's a huge overclock for 1600 speed ram. Might need to get an 1833 or whatever it is kit

Thanks guys. I knew a 210 MHz overclock was not guaranteed but I've seen it done before on the forums with this kit. I'l probably just stick with my 1448 8-8-8-24.

They should go to 1750MHz 9-9-9-24 maybe 26-28 if they're good sticks. If not sell them and find some good ones.
I just bought these because I'm trying to get better timings then the 7-8-7 I have now. Since these OC fine but won't tighten any more then that @1600+.

For you these, but they're 6-8-6-24.

Eh, I'm able to get my Ripjaws up to 1800Mhz. They can go pretty high.
