Single Loop Possible, Or do I have to do a dual loop?

Thread Starter
So I've been working on modifying my build to integrate some new GPUs, and I'm having a hard time figuring out if I can use a single loop at all. Right now I have the following configuration:

... PUMP > QUAD RAD > CPU > MOSFET/NB/SB > REZ ...

Since it's basically just the CPU (i7 920 overclocked to 4Ghz), the temperatures are pretty good. I am replacing my GTX 570 with two GTX 580s and plan on watercooling these as well. The original plan was to use a dual loop configuration, with a dual rad (and possibly a triple external rad if funds suffice) for the GPUs and keeping the CPU loop as is.

The problem is I'm all about the minimalist look on my current build, and by adding a dual loop I create the need for more tubing to clutter the internals. It would be much simpler to take the connection between the end of the mosfet/nb/sb to rez, and place it to the GPUs instead, but then all of the heat from the CPU will dump into the GPUs, and two GTX 580s will likely be very hot.

My questions is, can I handle two 580s on my CPU loop or will I be forced to run a dual loop system and just deal with the extra tubing clutter? Any advice would help out. Thanks!

You can easily do that in a single loop. I'm not sure what pump you have, but have a look at this.

i would NEVER do that in a single loop but i am a purist when it comes to watercooling. For me cpu gets a loop all its own always then anything else.

I have a Laing D5-Vario for the pump with a Koolance pump top. I do agree that I'd rather have my CPU on a separate loop, but if its not going to cause huge problems I wouldn't mind having the single loop and just adding the dual-rad somewhere in the loop...

You can easily do that on a single loop as long as your pump is strong enough. I typically recommend a 240 for the cpu and an additional 120 per graphics card so you should be fine.
