Probably an obvious question.

I was wondering something. My motherboard has an onboard 4250 which I can't find anything on to compare it to my 7950gt. How would they fair against eachother?

In what? You're talking about pretty dated stuff here. Either way, the GT will be considerably better.

If you want a 3dMark comparison, the 4250 will score a 250 on 3dMark Vantage and around 1500 in 3dMark 06. By comparison, a 7950 will run around 5000-6000 in 3dMark 06 (no idea in vantage).

Just anything in general. I'm bored and I toy around w/ what i've got right now. A new job should be coming shortly so I can actually upgrade! Something cheap but that would pack a punch. What would you even recommend? I haven't gotten hardware or even browsed newegg in quite a while.

How cheap? Best bangs/buck would be a 250GTS at $99, and $149 would get a 460/550ti.

EDIT: Would both of those blow my 7950 out of the water?

Sorry about the double post.

How is that in comparison to the other two you've linked at me. If money allows it i'd like an AMD video card just so my gpu/cpu match. Stupid, yes i know. Help is appreciated.

Performs almost identically with a 460. Little faster than the 768mb model, but slower than the 1GB model on average across all resolutions. A 460 would be the better buy because its almost $20 cheaper, but if you don't care about that and want AMD it's probably your best bet at that pricepoint.
