Looking for upgrade path advice

Thread Starter
Since BF3 is making me want to pew pew pew very hard I am trying to plan out am upgrade path so I can play the game in all it's glory. Sig Rig is still current.

I'm hoping I can get away with just upping my video card (possibly get a 6850 now and xfire when the game is out) and get some better CPU cooling so I can overclock it and call it a day. Only concern is my PSU.

All input is appreciated

Your PSU is fine. get a second 5770 and you'll be fine.

Your PSU is plenty enough at the moment and will easily take in your future upgrades. You can definitely get away with just OCing and getting a new card. Also, get a another 2nd hand 5770 and you should be fine.

Your PSU is definitely enough. I'd maybe grab an H50 or H70 to cool. You should sell your 5770 now and pick up one of the 6XXX cards- it'll end up being about the cost of buying a new 5770.

agree sell your current 5770 graphic card and buy amd HD 6850 graphic card, some times you can buy open box item from newegg I've seen several amd hd 6850 going for $140, by then when bf3 is out i'm sure 6850 price will go down a lot by then you can crossfire it then.

Thanks for all the input guys. I will be keeping the PSU and looking to upgrade the gpu as the BF3 release gets closer and hopefully prices drop. In the meantime I will probably get a new cooler, a 1080 monitor to make use of the new GPU to come, and possibly a full tower (not likely since the nzxt phantom wont play nicely with my FC5).
