FPS drop after system reconfig

Thread Starter
My sig rig was on air and at the clock speed in sig, I was getting 101 - 102FPS in Heaven 2.1 (multiple run). Since them I moved to water. I put my CPU back to 3.8 and cards back to 900/1350. I run Heaven benchmark again, I get 90 FPS. Trying to figure out where the extra 10 went...

Differences:

1) AMD 11.4 drivers instead of 11.2
2) Heaven 2.5 benchmark instead of Heaven 2.1
3) Windows 7 SP1 installed
EDIT: 4) Also did RAID 0 with two 500 GB hard drives. Dunno if that makes a difference, but listing it.

Enabling or Disabling ULPS does not make a difference. Power slider is at stock setting - 0%. This was how it was before as well.

Could be the driver or the benchmark. Most likely the driver in my opinion. Have you tried to revert to 11.2 just for reference? Performance loss in anything else other than Heaven?

I am guessing it is more the benchmark than drivers... 11.4 have shown good improvements for the 6900 series... download the heaven 2.1 benchmark and rerun it...

Well IMO the 11.4 sucks.

I lose around 3-8fps when i used the 11.4 driver.

Try with the 11.2 again

Thanks guys. I was of the same opinion. I will download Heaven 2.1 and try that first. But I will have to think about reverting back drivers. I mean no difference to the eye as far as 90 versus 100 fps - just the number. But curious non the less. I will post back with results.
