Which card to max out ALL games at 1080p? - Page 5

I wouldn't ever spend that much on a single card D: I am only even considering the 580 because it fits into my total budget ha...

Spending that much on a single card, or on more than one 580, and most multiple GPU setups, is only worth considering with, at the very least, three 1080p screens.

I did the Mafia II benchmark with a 470 I had, and my 5970. At 1080p, there was no difference whatsoever, as the 5970's power was held back at the resolution. At 2560 x 1440, thanks to another GPU and more VRAM, it destroyed the 470, which was left struggling to hit 30FPS.

Oh, my bad! The most they can do is Tri-SLI it seems, I must have misread initially.

Still, if you have the money for three 580's, you could dedicate the 4th to PhysX, just because you can.

If i had like 5000 to spend on a pc, I may consider doing that LOL but not on a 2000 dollar budget (:

If I had that much money, I'd build a decent high/mid spec PC, then spend the rest on other stuff.

Idk dude, I think the 580 might outperform the 590 at 1080p, because of the stock speeds (correct me if im wrong), I think you should go for that, so in a few months you could save up to get a second 580.

Also dont forget the 590 is being release very soon and there could be a price drop!!! So wait for a while.

I'm not out to get the highest of high end... I'm out to buy a pc that can be fine tuned to hold its own (: what I have in my sig is my proposed build at this point... besides the 570 which will be a 580 (: it comes in at 1980 or something like that (: to me, spending any more would be a waste for my uses... and my e-penis doesn't need to be that big (:

I don't want to SLI (: not until my card can't keep up... and x8/x8 doesn't have some super huge advantage over x16/x16... like 2 to 3% if I remember correctly...
