How does short stroking work? - Page 3

Alright guys, that made it a WHOLE lot clearer. You would want an individual HDD, make it a whole lot smaller for your better programs and OS, because then it only has to go on the outer platter of the HDD, and then get another HDD for everything else so the first HDD doesnt have to scan across the whole platter. Yay Is that about it?

no point really ssing an individual drive. put them in raid, create a small partition when installing windows. done.

Ahhh I think I fully understand now. You can use the left over space on the drive becuase you will never be booting windows while running other programs that are on your other partition. All the reading I have been doing is finally making sense Thanks a lot everyone for your input
