Help me find driver for scsi hdd

Thread Starter
So I picked up a cheap scsi drive from craigslist. I popped it into my server without any other drives hooked up to it and ran the 2008 install disc. It won't recognize the drive for some reason.

The drive is a Maxtor Atlas 15K II 73gb Ultra320 SCSI.

I've tried multiple searches to try and find the driver for this without any luck. And seagates website is ridiculous they have like no support for anything that isnt a brand new external drive

hardrives dont really have drivers you would need the driver for your scsi chipset.

FYI havent looked at the drive but the PATA connector wont talk to the SCSI drive need a scsi expansion card in the pci slot to talk to the drive.

BTW scsi drives are not as simple as pata/sata drives need terminator connectors at certain ends for the connection loop to work.

This is what I have

I wonder if its a bios setting or something to do with raid, like maybe raid was set up before and now its expecting the raid drives to be there.

Not really sure which driver to choose to load in windows set up, could you point me in the right direction?

Hard drives don't need drivers.
Storage controllers do... but do you have a SCSI controller? Systems generally do not come with one since they are relatively expensive.
Once again...

Ok, hdd's don't need drivers. Got it. I've tried loading a few scsi drivers and windows installer doesnt even see the drivers on my flash drive.
