Backlit Gaming Keyboard (Mechanical?) - Page 3

If you want superior build quality, nkey rollover, etc... go with the Deck. The only reason to go with the BWU is if you need to save the money or just really, really like Cherry blue switches.

I dont really like the look of the Deck keyboards, I prefer the Razer or the iOne XArmor. As for the price, the BWU is 130$CAD here, so I don't mind paying 10$ more, but since the BWU has so many more features than the Deck/Xarmor have, I'm having a hard time justifying their cost. I mean, the Razer build quality can't be THAT bad, I've been using a Logitech G15 for 5 years, I'm sure the Razer is better quality.

I'd wait a little, my Deck is due to arrive today and I will do a full unboxing with hi-res pics and all the etc so you can see how the keyboard looks in actuality. Maybe even do a video as well.

I'm willing to drop the whole backlit thing if the keyboard doesn't look wierd (Deck), doesn't have a non-standard layout (Steelseries), isn't overpriced (120$ TOPS) and it would be nice to have a few nice features, be it Fn keys or colored WASD group.

Checked out the OCN Ducky, looks pretty nice, but out of stock

Any suggestions (buyable in Canada) ?

I need a numpad tho, Leopold looks nice, but no numpad.

I feel so picky >_>

I couldn't PM those 2, so I just PM tankguys. I also think I'll go with brown switches instead of blues (since I just noticed the blue ones are the 2-stage keys).

Just need to find the keyboard now.

Meh. I prefer clears as an all-around key switch. Typing on MX black switches blows. Hard.
I can't stand clears for gaming. I find them superior for typing though.

ub9l-s if you want a backlit compromise for typing and gaming.

I personally got over the backlit bit and am leaning towards the Noppoo Choc mini brown

Yea I think I'm gunna drop the backlighting, might go with a Ducky OCN Brown-switched, I like the shape / features, and it includes a WASD Key set and 3-4 other keys.

Just need to get the balls to order the Special Edition one, since I don't like the idea of having a 110$ pad printed keyboard
