Lastly, can the noctua be mounted on my mobo? I know the case is big enough, but is it compatible?

Lastly, do you know if the noctua is compatible with my mobo? My case DEFINITELY has the room.

Also, that tip about future sockets was excellent. +1 Rep and +5 internets.

I wouldn't trust Frostytech, they use a much different methodology than many other sites - look at their rankings and it'll tell you all you need to know. Although I will concede the Spire Thermax II is an excellent cooler, it's a bit hard to get but priced well if you can find it.

If it can fit in your case and won't obstruct your memory, get it.

I currently own one. It is so good runs 4.0ghz no sweat - I can push it to 4.3ghz. (24/7 system)

I initially bought the D14 just for its low noise effects - it's mad silent. But after buying it for its sole purpose of being silent I decided to Overclock. Now I'm addicted and crave more power, so I'm going water cooling.

If interested, you may want to look into the XSPC Rasa 750 RX240 kit. Extremely cheap and comes with everything you need for watercooling.

I had a bad experience that sort of put me off of watercooling for awhile.
I want to go for air in this build, and it is also cheaper.

Thanks for the input though
