its the power on the board
goes from 1.36 to around 1.25 under load

Don't waste your money DOWNGRADING from a 4870 to a 5670. Sure you gain DX22 support, but the 4870 is a much better card overall so you will actually be worse off.

Okay i wont get the 5670, still i dont know if im gonna be able to change the whole rig now because the used 965 that i was gonna get "disappeared" so ill have to wait some time, maybe months sad-smiley-002.gif

I was thinking (if i could get the new mobo+cpu+ddr3) to sell my 4870 arround $160 and buying a 6850 for $260 = $100 upgrade... but im not doing it until i change the whole rig who knows when...

A 6850 would be a little bit better than a 4870, but not a big difference. Personally I would concentrate on a good motherboard and cpu (and possibly ram) first, then look into a new graphics card later.

This motherboard claims to have ACC, is very cheap and supports DDR2 667 memory.

Hope that helps.

2+1 power phase
Bad idea if you're running anything larger than a 65W

I cant buy on newegg, the only way i could get my hands on a DDR2 mobo is if i get a used one, no more AM2's in the local marketplace.

my friend if you are stuck on a 965 it can be had for $160 free shipping, assuming you are in the states. do not pay $180, you can get a 1055 for that price. these aren't even sale prices.

Any Phenom II x6 is better, but if he is playing games. Then he is not going to see any different in performance.
