it's what's expected of a mid to high end gpu. with your processor though you should at least hit 30k pdd if you set up a vm and got that sucker to fold bigadv.

Installed Ubuntu last night, running full time. Gotta admit, I'm loving it, the speed of the OS is amazing. I've been forcing myself to try and run everything I possibly can in terminal. Loving it!

On topic: Got this up and running without hiccups, pulled a 6900 TPF of 37min @ stock speeds. Waiting on a new mobo so I can OC and really start pumping them out

Awesome, yeah learn the terminal and you will be set. Overclocking high enough will drop your TPF by 10 mins on that WU.

I hate to call for help almost all the time, but when using arch i cannot set the number of cores to 8

I run both commands and they seem to be correct, as the console doesn't report any error, but fah only shows 6 cores detected. I am a newbie to Arch, so ithought this was a good place to ask, am i doing anything wrong? or this doesn't apply to Arch and i should be looking to install Fedora instead?

Thnx
