Hi guys im looking to get a new monitor and after some research i came up with these two that I'm currently eyeing. The PX2370 is 23" and the Samsung BX2431 is 24" with both having roughly the same specs.

Heres a link for a side by side comparison in details:

Any advice is greatly appreciated thanks!

Hi, funny you ask this question, cause I'm looking as well for a new monitor.

Had the Samsung 2493HM for about 3 years but it broke recently.
So while Samsung tried to repair the screen I had been given a replacement for the time being, a Samsung 226BW (22").
I rather liked the smaller screen over the 24" one, so I decided, since Samsung is unable to repair my old one, I will be getting a 22" screen instead.

I was looking around about what's hot at the moment, and I checked the 22" models of these brands here:

Samsung
BenQ
Fujitsu
HP / Compaq
Acer
Philips
NEC
Asus
LG
Dell
Eizo
Liyama

Every brand has its advantages and disadvantages.
If looks is very important to you, like it is to me, then things are getting even more complicated. Well, end of story is that it's just hard to make your mind up without having some monitors infront of you, for the feel & touch.

Some have bad reputation regarding customer services, if that is important to you.
The top models for example of Eizo are really expensive - I cannot afford them.
End of story is, that I don't seem to find THE perfect monitor. Everything really is kind of a compromise. Most of the features you do like, some of them you don't.

I'm about to buy on of these three models by the end of this month:

1. 2243DW
2. BX2240
3. PX2370

I fell in love with the looks of number three. It's thin, the outer frame is sleek and even the buttons are located at the back, leaving the frame clean and beautiful.
Only things I hate are the glossy finish of the frame and backside as well as the stand.
It's much harder to keep these surfaces clean from dust and finger prints.
And I learned from the reviews that one of the few negative points are that the black background may have some bright spots, more towards the bottom.
Apparently that's something very thin LED displays suffer from.

By the way, the BX2431 has been said to being not as good as the PX2370.
Well, as I said .. there is no absolutely perfect monitor I'm afraid.

I'm still thinking as well ...
