I have a problem here.. my Secunia PSI detector is telling me all 3 ABODE files are insecure and they need updates and i ran Window Updates and fixes to see if there is a patch for it when it should have been one out on the 22nd. Do i need to uninstall Flash Player and reinstall it to see if there is an updated version or do you think Microsoft is still working on it.

There is a new exploit out there and my PSI isn't detecting Firefox 4.0 as my new default browser compared to the older version i previously had? What should i do? Most of time i disable flash player but meh.. i watch yotube so i may need it.

All 3 Adobe "files"? Do you mean Shockwave, Flash, and Acrobat?

If so, then just download and install the latest versions yourself from here:

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/browse/type:7

Do you really need PSI? I think that if you can build your own computer, then you don't need PSI.

Dude PSI checks updates on EVERY software and even if they weren't secure they let you know. It makes a huge difference.

The 3 files are..

Abode Air
Flash Player 10 Active X
Flash Player 10 NPAPI

So i should uninstall all of these and start fresh?

They are fully updated but apparently i think there is a exploit on it right now well.. previously and i read about it in microsoft and they were gonna update it for security reasons. I wonder if it's updated?

See, this is why I don't use software like PSI. This would be very irritating for me! I mean, it sounds like there's nothing you can do about it!

So what happens if you can't do anything? Does PSI keep bugging you?

No it doesn't I scan my software like once a week to make sure i have everything up to date. It's handy anyways because it will tell me what is outdated especially if a software is insecured and not patched.
Then I wouldn't worry about it.

However, if it is still a concern, then just install the latest available versions. They don't have to be fresh; just install the new ones (upgrade them).

Disabling the two features in the OP (anti-malware & anti-phishing) and deleting a file called "urlclassifier3.sqlite" actually speeds up performance quite a lot.
Pretty useless anyway when 1. you have a proper antivirus and/or 2. you use an addon such as Web of Trust for judging the safety of websites you visit

Firefox 4 has a lot more new features than that anyway

Explain more.. english term please Einstein cuz i can't understand what and where is that located?

I do have MSE and i'm fine. I just felt annoyed it says it is FULLY up to date yet says insecured?

Eventhough there is a approved link on the right and i don't know if it's fully updated properly. More than tempted to reinstall it and fully update it on the safe side. Most of time i just disable flash player.

Firefox 4.0 feels weird but i like it lol.

Are those two features disabled by disabling "Block reported attack sites" and "Block reported web forgeries"?
