This needs a poll. I'm also very interested in these two boards for my next upgrade to Sandy Bridge. Right now I'm leaning towards the MSI due to the better PCIe and PCI layout for the hardware I have now. If I were to go CrossFire with the ASUS, I'd have to remove my PCI X-fi. With the MSi board, I wouldn't. Both are suitable for me with a single GPU solution tho, which is what I have right now.

Sounds good... can I still edit the thread to a poll thread?

Ii's soooo tiring hearing ASUS this...ASUS that. I'm not hating ASUS cuz I've owned ASUS mobos in the past & I've never had a problem. Lately, MSI has been impressing me with the quality of their mobos (P55/P67A). I've have read people having problems just as much as MSI regarding the P67A. So far, I'm problem-free with my MSI P67A GD55 {B3}. So I hope the following info will help you decide

MSI P67A GD65
guru3d review
bit-tech.net review
hoardocp review
hardwareheaven review
motherboards.org review
overclock3d review
legitreviews.com review
kitguru review

Comparison to the i7/X58...Xtremesystems.org review

Now if you want to save about $20 to $30, you can buy the MSI P67A GD55. The only difference is that it does not have the rear ESATA ports, connecting pipe for the heatsink mosfets, and the (2) Marvel SATA III onboard ports. Curious about it's performance?
Check this out... MSI P67A-GD55 Review and OC guide

And there you have...a nice list of site reviews to entertain yourself

I did not list anything about the ASUS P8P67 Pro cuz you can Google that yourself and make your comparison Good luck & I hope you make the right choice for yourself

I may be too late to comment....

A few things to raise:

The OCing all comes down to the CPU.
Choose a motherboard based on what you want and what you need, ie. power phase, expansion slots, different ports, etc..

Basically, just choose the motherboard that has the features you need/want.

Hear, hear! You're choosing between 2 mobos, so Google site reviews about the ASUS P8P67 Pro, read about the features, make your comparison to the other mobo, and make a logical decision for yourself.

BTW...I did not select anything in the poll cuz you can make that decision yourself

Is this the P8P67 Pro? It doesn't say it, but I can't seem to find a specified Pro on the egg.

EDIT: I see that it isn't now. Can anyone tell me what the difference is?

EDIT: One thing I see that is different is the PCI slots. The non pro has 3 which would suit me better than the pro. I have pretty much decided on the MSi board, but hearing little things about MSi's EFI BIOS being implemented poorly, and ASUS's being better.

It's so much fun shopping for new stuff...heh
