i got the x750 from newegg last week sometime when it was on sale, was $30 off so $129 total w/free shipping

prior to that the x850 was on sale, though i had let that go (mainly because i was just gathering info on various items), at that time the x850 would have cost $30/$40 more than what i paid for the x750.

either would have been fine really, but i already knew that would Not be going SLI 580's, so the x750 was all i really needed for SLI 570's

believe me i'm a power gamer (though be out of the loop for many years), so i truely love having more power, be it cpu, gpu, sound card etc... so it is somewhat hard not to grab the next higher model thing.

I did read in another thread that roughly after 5years psu might be time to replace. But who know what tech will be out 5years from now

Go with the Corsair TX750W, that psu is a mofo'in monster!!!

Edit: This is probably the best if not one of the best psu's for gaming, read the reviews and specs on it.
