I was recently (yesterday) given a tower that has a pentium d 805 2.66ghz cpu in it. At idle the cpu is at 70c. I know its only the stock intel heat sink but 70c at idle with no overclocking is really hot. not to mention the heatsink on the southbridge is hot enough to burn your fingers. this computer has never been overclocked and is free from dust cakes. im planning to buy a better heat sink but im still worried about the southbridge. i don't believe airflow is the problem, 1 exhaust fan in back , 1 intake in front, and airduct on the side for the cpu. i dont know what to do or is this normal and am i just a worry wort.
