Homefront crash on start

Thread Starter
So I was really looking forward to this game, but I can't even get it to start. I downloaded the game from Steam, and when I open it, I either get a black box or a completely black screen that freezes my entire PC, requiring a restart. I have tried adding -d3d11 to the Steam launch options, verifying the cache through Steam, updating graphics drivers (to the beta ones), and running in compatibility mode with Win XP, all with no effect.

This is extremely frustrating and I there doesn't seem to be a lot of people experiencing the same problem.

Help

Bump as I am also experiencing this. Worked fine the first day.
The next this was happening.
Although I could just ctrl-alt-del to get out as opposed to a sys restart.
