Settings I might be missing??

ok I'm wondering whats wrong here .
just set up a new system and changed my video card from a Quadro FX 1500 to a Evga 9500 GT and it looks like my performance has dropped !

I'm sure there has to be some setting that I have not change yet to give me my card at full strength ?!?!?

my Windows Experience
Desktop performance for Windows Aero, 5.9 for the FX1500 vs 4.1 for 9500 GT

3D business and gaming graphics, 5.1 for FX1500 vs 6.2 for 9500 GT

Went from a 5.2 FX1500 VS 4.1 9500 GT

And I'm unable to run the same test on the FX 1500 because its only DX9

Is there a benchmark I can use to see the 2 cards side by side?

Now I really need my graphics for OpenGl previews, as I use Boris Red/Blue and After Effects so My card need to be good at OpenGl and have lots of Texture memory.

are there tests I can run just to test the amount of texture memory my card has?

Also ran a Cinebench
OpenGL 11.76... is that any good?? 9500GT

but when I tried to test the FX1500 It would not even complete the process and received this message.

Reference match test Failure errors in rendering are displayed as red pixels.
the difference with the reference image is too great..

any help??

thanks

9500 is rather weak card by todays standard, those results seem in order. Sorry.
As of another bechmark - MSI Kombustor is good.

WOW... well then If my programs use the left over texture memory to draw my previews since its a 1G card vs 256MB on the FX1500 do you think i should stay with my FX1500..remember video game performance means nothing ..

No, 9500 is better. In almost all cases the newer card is always better when performance is similar. At least for the Dx/SM support, if not else

Thank you, ran the MSI Kombustor and 9500 was better then the FX1500 by only 4PFS.

So I guess I will stick with the 9500 GT for now and even though gaming is not very important i still would like to play some here and there and I'm sure the 9500 is better for gaming then what I have .. +rep

WOW well I did the post FX and 9500 had double the FPS and only 4FPS more without it..
And are there any setting i can change to improve performance??
