[CY] Battlefield 3 on consoles to have smaller maps - Page 5

I know I'm from the PC Gaming Master Race. I'm pretty generous about it.
To say consoles to have smaller maps makes sense to you and me, because we know BF3 is native PC and needs the requirements dumbed down so the console kiddies can use it.

They could have just put a more positive spin on it by saying PC will get bigger maps.
That way, we'll feel like were getting something extra, and console players won't really get called out for having smaller dicks, oops, I mean maps.

It's not DICE's fault for the wording, but this just shows how media can get twisted to from 1 party feeling ok, and 1 party feeling awesome.
to 1 party feeling ok, and the other party feeling bleh.

Still, it's a pretty small snafu all other press releases considered.

24 players ain't that bad .. I mostly play 18-24 players on a map and trust me its a very thrilling experience. Now I'm not talking about "Harvest day" or "Atacama Desert" CQST because those maps feel empty even with 32 players.

Hey!!! If this game is as a huge of a success on the PC as its seeming to be, it just may convince other companies to make awesome PC games, if they would just realize we would buy there stuff if they gave us a little of something... instead of just leaving us in the dust making us not want to buy there product. I salute them for there contribute.

I am pumped for this game as much as the next guy

But I don't think console players give a **** I am trying to remember if any of the console players I know ever heard of E3, or GDC, or anything like that to be honest. Or if they even check gaming websites, yeah I'm pretty sure they don't check gaming websites.

Of course MP will be much more taxing so I'd imagine the launch of BF3 will be similar to BF2.
Damnit. I've only got a GTX 560. Do you know what res it was at? There goes all consideration of getting this for 360 to play with my friends out the window.

Well they were demoing it on a huge 100inch ( Maybe larger? ) screen. Not sure what the resolution is on those

Anyways, back OT, that sucks for console users, although it makes sense. I'd love to play BF3 on PC, but the reality is that I'm not going to spend $1,200 for a new computer to do so. I imagine I'll end up having it on the PS3 at some point or another.

Oh well.
Why not? Consoles have pretty much always been the main platform for developers ( With the exception of Blizzard and a few other devs )

Also console gamers have always said PC gaming is dying. Now we can rub it in their faces. What's not to like about that?

Nahh, SP, at least in BFBC2, is more demanding than MP.

Lots of stuff gets watered down in the MP.

And AFAIK all the footage we've seen from BF3 so far has been under DX11.

Relax my good man. This game will not, I promise, NOT, be difficult to run for those that can already crank bc2. Oh, and no one has any clue what the reqs will be, so speculators ought to be shot on sight (myself included).
