[Games.On.Net] Crysis 2 - Interview on PC Experience - Page 5

I loved the story of Crysis. Haven't played Warhead yet. But I'm looking forward to the campaign in 2 just as much as the tech/geeky graphics stuff.

Same here. I really enjoyed the storyline and gameplay style crysis had. It was a refreshing of good graphics mixed with a classic "boss battle" gameplay. Can't wait for the second one. It looks amazing.

I doubt the second game will have the first game's play style. If it does, I'll be happy to buy the game.

I hope it doesn't turn out to be like CODs SP. Yes, I've played everything from COD4 to black ops. I do not like the SP gameplay nor the MP.

CoD is more of a clear area, move, clear area, move type of shooter. Crysis allows you to move more freely than CoD. Here's hoping they keep that same Sandbox style gameplay or some degree of it. The buildings makes the game look a little restrictive but I'll have to play it to know for sure. Crysis can be played in many different ways, a player can feel restricted or free depending on their play style.

This.

That's the reason why I've played crysis's campaign three times.
I love how every playthrough can be different depending on my play style.

It's too bad they decided to spam the PC version with preset console options and no DX11. So the statement "we didn't bring a console game to the PC," made me LAWL. It's a console port, Crytek. No need to piss on people and tell them it's raining...

Imo, lies. Why no DX10 or DX11 at release?

I actually really enjoyed Crysis and Crysis Warhead, and so, I will be judging Crysis 2 graphics based on the original.

Sorry, I thought you were on of those PC elitists who won't get Crysis2 because it lacks DX10/11. ._.

Known this this a few month after it was released. Never said it didn't.
I have seen a number of people saying that DX10 in Crysis made a big difference, so I'm just trying to set that straight.

I don't care about the version of DirectX used. If it was DX9 only but looked noticeably better than the original, that would be good enough for me. The original Crysis has already demonstrated that amazing graphics -- the best to date -- can be done on only DX9.
