You said it..

about the price hikes people are predicting that will come when the merger finalizes,,, I dont think that will happen.. I believe that they will lower their prices once this happens to attract more customers.. But all things will come to a end and they will eventually raise their prices back up to accommodate for the profit loss of dropping their prices to get more customers.. I think it will still be plenty of competition between the 3 major carriers.. By the time the merger happens, im sure Verizon and Sprint will have expanded their LTE / WiMax network leading to much better competition between the big 3..

BTW,, i just bought a HTC Inspire 4G and its awesome.. faster and a better web experience than the iphone 4

T-mobile was wonderful in the way that you didn't need to sign a contract when using their service. All you had to do was bring your own phone and enjoy a lower price per a month. It's sad to see that go on a major network.

You only have 30 days from the transition date, though.

Atleast, that's how it's working with the Alltel to AT&T transition.

The deal has not been finalized yet, so maybe T-Mo will put that into the buy contract and AT&T will have to offer the same deal for said contract time..

Yeah, played with one at an AT&T store and it is great. My dad has the Atrix and is even smoother in apps and games due to its dual-core processor.

Anyways, I think we should not delve any further in terms of how AT&T will handle the integration of T-Mobiles services and customers. We still have roughly a year to observe the effects of this acquisition, so make judgments only when we see evidence. For now, everything here's mere speculation - though some are extremely likely to happen, given AT&T's usual practices.

Actually, i bought the atrix first, but it was a little laggy in spots.. like when you unlock it.. that drove me nuts. It did open web pages pretty fast.. especially when there was a lot of flash on the page. like adult swims home page.. nice and fast.. but for me the inspire is where its at. no lag what so ever, anywhere.

Also, i forgot where i read this but the Atrix doesnt use both cores until its planted in its laptop dock. Otherwise is uses just one of its cores while not docked..

Oh really? Wow, never thought of that. The Tegra 2 processor is still powerful despite running on one core only; the reason it's lagging in some spots is with Moto's proprietary Blur system UI. Once it's rid of all Blur stuff (crapware IMO) it should be as fast, or even faster than the Inspire running on Sense. My Cliq got a lot smoother when I installed vanilla Froyo on it, as a reference.

Either way, both are excellent phones. Since my dad has an Atrix, I'd go with the Inspire so we could compare lol.

The bright side is that AT&T can only get better, its just unreliable service at times. But lets face AT&T has the best phone selection out of all of them IMO.

Long Live Sprint The NW Network

LONG LIVE SPARTA... err... SPRINTA..

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO I <3 Sprint WOOOOOOO WIOOOiaoioweitoajsdigjasiotjh
asdgjajklsrhklAWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAA hahahahhahAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAHahHAHAHa

I absolutely HATE AT&T I originally had Sprint Then I had a small issue and decided to switch to AT&T after having AT&T for two years, I looked over the phone selection / data plans / and PRICE and immediately went to SPRINT

I paid $50/MO just for minutes with AT&T, I pay about $65/Mo on Sprint with UNLIMITED DATA AND AIR TIME AND TXT AND PICS WOOOOOO!

Simply Unlimited by Sprint = pwned all.

+ I added phone insurance through sprint because my bill feels so affordable, I will probably never even use it, BUT I am happy to pay for it to a company that CARES about customers.
