I havent run any benchmarks with my 5830's so I dont know if I'm getting the same, but your CPU may be holding you back a bit. I'll see if I can get the crysis benchmark and run it real quick.

Wait, can you DL the benchmark on its own or do you need the game?
k i'll try to force my mobo to unlock again. clearing CMOS...

ya you need the game or the demo.
then google crysis benchmark.
i got crysis 1 by preordering crysis 2 from EA.
i used to have a less than legit version from a friend of mine. dont pirate it tho.

OP, Cryengine 2 hates my monitor in DX10 mode at 1080p too (NO SIGNAL.. ugh), so I run it in DX9 with tweaked cfgs, it's great.
oh so its not just me! i feel better now lol.
link me to DX9 configs. does it look better or worse than DX10?
1050p looks pretty good on my monitor, but 1080p would be nice biggrin.gif
i want to run crysis once again in 1080p!

Finally got around to running the benchmark. Stock clocks I avg 33.99 fps, OC'd I got 39.085. Ran everything at the same setting as you. What did you have your cards clocked at? I'm also on 10.10e still, I wonder if that might be causing any differences

oh both cards are at 875/1125Mhz with 11.4 drivers.
i wish i could go higher but MSI's slider is capped at 875 (XFX is capped at 900Mhz) and if i enable unofficial OCing it makes the idle clocks and volts the same as load, increasing pwr bill (mom rages)
and to make it worse my XFX version lack voltage ctrl.
i can unlock it with hacked TriXX tho. i'll try it again sometime.
