[Solved] HAF 932 HDD Bays

Thread Starter
Okay, so I recently put in an old hard drive just to test how easy it was to put one in the HAF 932, and to figure a good way to do it. But the problem is, now I can't get it back out. Is there any good way to do this?

Generally speaking, the same way it went in!

If you used the sliders that come with the case it should be as easy and open the plastic cover locker thing. Un plug and remove...

Have any more details on how it is stuck?

The only problem is is that I can't seem to get it to move. It just won't budge to let me get the screws out.
The only screws involved in the HDD removal/installation with this case is the 2 or 4 on the back depending on if you are opening both sides of the case.

How did you screw in the drive?

I mean the screws that are on the little drive holder thing. I didn't install any extra screws.

Can you post pics of the drive bay? Usually when things get stuck I freeze them, but this is probably not the best plan here...got any WD-40? You could carefully put a few drops on a screw and try that.

You can't get the drive caddy to slide out, or the drive out of the caddy? If its the drive to come out of the caddy, I think you just kind of bend 1 side of the caddy back so that the drive can slip out.

It just has those little pegs in rubber grommets that go into where the screws would normally, on the hdd.

The plastic is soft enough that it should just bend though, and then the drive can come out. If you got the whole thing stuck inside there, I guess you need to unlatch it and push from the other side of the case..

I just got the drive stuck in the caddy.
EDIT: Alright, finally got it out.

You mean the metal tabs set into the rubber gromets?

You can:

1: Just carefully bend the side of the tray down till they pop out (don't do this one if you have ham-hands).
2: Use the end of a small flat-head screwdriver to pry the flat head of the pin out of the rubber gromets.

**EDIT** lol you got it out while i was typing.

Bend the top of the "caddy" outwards. It should flex.
