The only 2 things that's stopping me right now from getting one, is when I tried it with the cute nintendo girl at best buy after 5mins of play, I started to get a headach and turning off the 3d function then defeats the point getting a 3DS in the first place. Then you got the battery life. I'll prob make up my mind sooner then later.

You'll get used to it after a few times playing with it. Your eyes are using muscles they never normally use, thats where the headaches come from. It happened to me at the start too, now its nothing but fun!

Got it for my son yesterday ,traded in his DSi-XL . We got it home ,and I was shocked at how tiny the screen was. My son began to play Pilotwings ,and after about 5 mins ,he said his eyes hurt ,and was feeling dizzy. Needless to say ,we talked it over ,and returned it ,and got his XL back. Gamestop was pretty cool about giving us a full refund. My son is glad to have his XL back . I swear the screen looked smaller than the original DSi ,I mean Microscopic. The color was nice (Blue Metallic) ,but we will see down the road . I just think it is too damn small to really enjoy it .

I don't know, if there are games you want now or in the future then I'd say it's worth it. 3D is nice and all, but it's like icing on the cake for an otherwise standard console successor.

To be honest, once the big games I'm looking forward to (Kingdom Hearts, Mega Man Legends 3, etc.) come out I don't think I'll even be using the 3D that often.

Same thing for me. My eyes started to hurt after a few secs even frown.gif
I really don't like any of the games right now or feel they are worth the price tag so I think I'm just going to return it as well with the other DS 3d I forgot to cancel ><<br />
By the way I assume amazon will charge me the 2x$25 credit and the 2x accessory I got with the credits if I used them? If so I might try to sell them on craigslist for $250 (saves them taxes).

I've been on the nintendo handheld train for a while (GB orig->DSL) but really felt burned through the first year with my DS (launch day). It really took a while for the system to gain momentum and i found myself buying 6.5 & 7/10 games to fill the void.

Not to mention that the DSL was LIGHTYEARS ahead of the NDS hardware. I sold my phat and got the lite soon after it came out. I'm thinking the 2nd 3DS revision will be thinner w/better battery life.

However...When the online store/Netflix/Browser get launched, My willpower to resist one will probably fade. lol

I'm waiting for some money before I can get one.

One of the deal breakers for me was that you can download some of the cool retro games on it.

Just gotta hurry and get some more money.

Honestly, it's only mildly better than my DS Lite...the bigger screens are a plus and Kingdom Hearts: Recoded cutscenes don't lag as bad but other than that...it's pretty much personal choice. I still have 2 DS Lites and my 3DS.

Honestly, if you don't use the cameras, the gyration motion control (I'm pretty sure only Pilotwings makes use of this so far Edit: I take that back...the new Starfox should use it as well), and the analog pad, you've pretty much just killed majority of the big things about the 3DS.

However, I will say this much. The newer games are trying to incorporate more and more into them and pretty soon, they'll lag my DS Lites to death as they won't be able to keep up with them at a playable frame rate.

Edit: http://www.nintendo.com/3ds/games

There's a list of the games so far that will actually use stuff that the 3DS will work on.

Now, I think they said they are making those games 3DS only but I'm sure someone somewhere in the community will make them work on the DS Lite biggrin.gif

Edit2: Actually I just looked at one of the flashcarts EZFlash and it's already 3DS compatible so it's really just a matter of time...
