Well, you already have the three staples of the system I'd say. I just got Rhythm Thief today and I'll give it a go and let you know what I think, but there's a demo of it already on the eShop that convinced me to get the game. You might also look into Resident Evil: Revelations. I don't have it myself (yet) but I've heard great things about it and there's a demo available for it as well.
And you're right about the Kid Icarus controls, they seem awkward and convoluted at first, but once you get the hang of it, it feel quite natural. It just requires the stand to play properly, at least for me.
