I played it for about an hour, made it to world 2-3 or something. Its a fun little game, I dont notice any 3D at all tho except for some text pop out and thats about it. Overall tho Im gonna play it all the way through. ive gotten into the habit now of buying games and only picking them up once...

That's really up to you and if you really want a bigger screen. That special edition is probably the best looking of the bunch. If its me, I would be stuck. It's a hard choice.
