If anyone was wondering about AHCI versus IDE

Thread Starter
I did a reinstall on my system with IDE instead of AHCI by accident. Anyhow the difference on Windows Experience Index Primary hard disk went down from 7.4 to 7.1. I also notice it's a bit slower. So there you have it, AHCI is the way to go if your not sure what to do when you just got an ssd or building a new rig.

Sure, here you go http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/fo...r-Installation.

It's also good practice to back up your registry before making any changes.

Why so defensive.

I personally know about AHCI vs IDE but never tested it.
