Best 1155 board for under or around $150

Thread Starter
I'm looking to get a LGA 1155 socket for the i5 2500k CPU. I'm going to be gaming a lot on it so it needs 2 PCI 2.0 spots that are good for dual video cards. I was looking at this motherboard, would this be a good board for me? Any board recommendations? My budget for it is about 150$ give or take a little bit.

ASRock Extreme4

It was in stock until recently at eWiz (Superbiiz).

I wouldn't settle for anything else in the price range

I'm personally VERY happy with my Biostar board. Works beautifully for the whopping $130 I spent on it.

Honestly, with these chips, the board doesn't matter too terribly much. Pick one that has the features you need.

Please, since when is quality for cheap an overkill? Besides it's pretty much implied that if you go for P67 you go for overclocking. If you don't overclock you might just go for H67 and a minus-K SB instead. It's a lot cheaper that way.

And I like my components to be robust and last a long time. Can't get any better than TUF series in that department. I know that logic is flawed on the most fundamental level, since computers evolve on a quarterly basis nowadays, but that's just me.

I'd go with the ASRock P67 Extreme4. I just got an e-mail confirming that my order is going through because it got back in stock at Superbiiz.

^This. If you can find the ASRock on sale (as it's usually out of stock) I'd grab it. It's comparable to the Asus P8P67 Pro, a step above the motherboard I posted, only it's quite a bit cheaper.
