I can't believe no one has even mentioned the Antec 1200... Or whatever the replacement model is called now... By far the best air cooled case there was/is, especially if you replace the fans with something bit more robust. 3x (Or possibly 4) fans for intake, 1x side intake, 2x fans exhaust, 1x big ass fan on top. I have the HAF-X, and it doesn't come close to cooling possibilities the 1200 has... Although, must admit... The HAF-X does cool the GPUs a bit better.

EDIT:

Dammit... Just when I thought I was first, I was beat to it.

I can't believe no one has brought up the Antec Lanboy cases! The configuration options are almost endless, an you can get up to 15 fans in there iirc. My new Sandy Bridge build is in one, and I have had no issues with case temp whatsoever. If you're looking to air cool, I would look no further. might be at the higher end of your price range but definitely worth looking into.

IMO HAF X is far more ugly than the ANtec 1200.

The only downside of the Antec 1200 is the noise when all fans are @ 100%.
Also even though the Antec 1200 looks gigantic, the room inside is lesser than I expected.

HAF X... up to 3x 200mm fans PLUS the 230mm fan on front (so 4 fans 200mm or larger), and slots for a couple more 120 / 140mm fans... onboard USB 3.0 ports on front panel ... plenty of extras ... supports a wide array of motherboards (Micro ATX, ATX, Extended ATX and XL ATX)... although if you are worried about looks over performance, don't buy the HAF X.

They are BOTH UGLY!

Antec = DUST!

The only Antec's I like are the:

300, P180, P182, P183.

If CM took the HAF-X / HAF 932 (add dust filters) and put it into a pretty aluminum package, it would sell like crazy.

Some may call it ugly, but I'm looking into the AzzA Hurrican.
2 side 230mm.
2 top 230mm.
2 front 120mm.
1 rear 120mm.
1 OTHER side 120mm for pulling heat away from the mobo backing.
1 bottom grill and mount for another 120mm.
I hear the factory fans are not really powerful, but are also not very loud. I expect they make up for power in the sheer number of them.
