How do these compare?

Thread Starter
i am looking at this CPU cooler, i have a small case and have no room for a larger cooler, i currently have a Freezer Pro 7 rev 2 and it is pretty good but i am looking for something better.

i just want to know if this is a better cooler than the one that i have.

Yeah, its better. But if you don't have a lot of space, I'd suggest something like the H50 or the H70.

I'll second that.

The sealed unit water coolers you can get now perform pretty well for their price.

o....k.... now like two days ago someone on here was complaining that no one should ever get the H50 or H70 becasue they are not as good as some air coolers......

my other issue is that the H70 (the one that i would get) is more than double the price of this air cooler

For small space vs. cooling preformance a H50 or H70 will win. H50 is about the same as a Scythe SCMG-2100 AKA MUGEN 2 in preformance and H70 is about 2-5c cooler.

also i should note, that small space in my case does not equal low air flow, i have a ton of air flow in this beast, or should i just say screw it and get a Rasa rx240 kit

Don't you mean "compare"?

Yes, I'm an enforcer of correct grammar and spelling. Problem?

The H50 & H70 are very good for their price it isn't true water and comes up a little short of top end air cooling (which will cost more).

Where these units should never be used is on powerful chips like i7 970, 980, 990s, and yes you see people who do it and wonder why their chips are cooking...

You on the other hand have a dual core CPU which will produce a far more moderate amount of heat which will easily be handled by a Hxx.
