One thing that can help you (I did it before going raid) use windows Ready boost. I used it with a super speedy CF card, CF can be much faster than flash drives & windows7 can use any flash media for Ready Boost.
Ok i think i know what your problem might be for you is because of your vid cards Vram. If you use msi afterburner it can tell you if your vram is getting full during gaming which can cause this stutter you are noticing.

But Truso I dont thing that should be as big problem for your card of course it definitely help if you decrease the amount of AA you use as more of it cause game to use more vram for the extra multisampling.

EDIT: I forgot to mention the stuttering is cause of texture swapping happening between the vram, system memory, hard drive. those are in order of speed and there is a great magnitude of speed between them too so if it has to swap from ram it will stutter some but if it has to swap from hard drive it will bottom out your fps quickly as 64gbs vs 100mbs is a BIG difference when the gpu needs that 64gbs to operate effectively.

you know, i just looked into expanding my disk cache on the ram.
like changed the integer in reedit under memory mang\\large system cache
from 0 to 1. im just trying to get the most out of my RAM is all.

i mean. at all times im a about 1.6 gb of ram usage out of 8 gb
and in game around 2gb. so im gonna mess around with this as see if i can get
the maximum from my ddr3 lol

yea i might turn AA down to x4 tho. see if i can see any improvments

well for games your not gonna see anymore usage in ram unless the game specifically can be ran in 64 like how FarCry 1 you could upgrade the original game to native 64bit and it looked great. I dont know how much ram it used in the vram tho. But yeah no game will never max out @ 2gb of ram used at least from what I have seen. I know WoW uses 900megs of ram on avg when i played it and my vista x64 used about 2gb for caching.

hmm I figured that didnt have that anymore for using a larger disk cache in system ram. let me know how that goes oh dont forget to restart your pc so that change takes effect.
