install the program and you need to decide what project you wish to process data for.
go here http://boinc.berkeley.edu/projects.php and check that out. then attach the appropriate project to boinc. if you havent signed up then you can create a new account in boinc. then you will need to go to projects and my account to join the team overclock.net. hope this helps

Hi roger it is allot to digest all at once so dont feel bad, after you download and install the program do a restart then in the lower right hand corner is the advanced tab. they will probably ask you to attach to a project and it will give you 25 choices if you are familiar with the projects pick one and follow the promps all the way to click finish. the project will download work units and start crunching. in the advance tab screen you have many tabs and screens to browse through this will show you your progress and how many units are being worked, you have many preferences to choose from also if you need to control your machine from the defualt, if you just let it run without changing anything it will crunch while you are not using the computer and throttle back when you are. welcome aboard and let us know of any problems

AQUA@Home is always a good bet for a project. http://aqua.dwavesys.com/

I personally like the idea of quantum computing and if there's a breakthrough in that then other scientific applications that can make use of quantum algo's can proceed and a whole new body of knowledge will be opened up.

Just enter this when prompted to join the project: http://aqua.dwavesys.com/ after that the rest should take care of itself.

I personally dont use aqua, I would try milkyway, dnetc.net, collatz conjecture...................

but anyway once you are in the advance view click the task tab and you will be looking at any work being done.

taking a screenshot will help us also
