WPA2 is plenty safe. It has been cracked but it still takes a while to crack the encryption and a person wouldn't use it to crack 1 random person that they dont know if you have any extra money or not (most people would much rather go after a business where they know there are larger sums of money/information to obtain). The way WPA2 works as well makes wireless transactions fines as it issues a token to each individual device so that it is basically "encapsulated" which prevents the sidejacking that WEP encryption does not.

They'd also need the encoded data on the magnetic strip (which has your pin number, zip code of residence, other personally-identifable info, etc.) for it to be useful for any sort of online purchase, so a clone would be necessary in that case.

You only need a card number and name for an online purchase. Most of the time, a zip code too (though that's not too hard to find). On even rarer occasion, the CVC code, and that's still on the card itself.

So no, don't need a clone. Everything you need is written on the card with the exception of the zip.

And you don't need to enter your correct name and billing address for the credit card you're using at the time of checkout too?

Which brings up a good question--the OP mentioned that charges went through, even though the first name on the charges was different. How does that happen?

Once the words "I don't have an Antivirus" come out any "Safe Browsing" habits you claim to have are void because you don't understand how most viruses get onto a computer.

Get an AV. THEN tell us you use safe browsing habits.

Did the OP scan his PC yet? Find anything?

1. Reinstall Windows
2. Install Malwarebytes
3. install favorite web browsers
4. Install Noscript or equivalent addons
5. Install favorite AV software, avast is good free one

Do all of those steps and your windows should be virus free even when watching p0rn

They might have hacked your checking or credit card account. Change your password on all your important accounts and reinstall windows to make sure there are not keyloggers on your PC.

Alright guys, I did a complete scan and nothing came up I guess the only thing left for me to do is reformat/reinstall then change all my passwords. If that doesn't take care of this then I don't know what will. I've also been looking into using Linux, but I've never used it before and I'm afraid it might be a little too hard to configure.
