[Vortez] NZXT H2 Review - Page 4

I actually disagree that the sata cables would ruin the airflow.

I'll gladly admit that there is a limited amount of flow coming from the front of a case--a flaw that NZXT should remedy possibly in a later revision (this can probably also be remedied with some minor case modding). However, the power cable can be hidden behind the back panel then routed to the front from a rubber grommet directly to the hard drive. This is pretty typical of most cases.

As for the sata cable length restricting airflow, someone could possibly use a 4" sata cable and route a hard drive directly to the MB with just that small cable. This would eliminate excess restrictions from cable management and keep it fairly tidy.

While I'm not a fan of the magnetized fan cover on the top panel, I've seen a video where they've left the back end of this semi open so that even with it on, the case will still get some intake or exhaust (depending on the placement). I think small touches like that should be applauded.

I also do not see anything wrong with the top panel hot swap bay since if given a choice, I'd personally prefer to hide it when not in use.

Personally, I'd never use this case, but that doesn't mean I can't see a lot of positive things to comment on.

That aside, if I treated any case the way he thrashed this one about, I would expect to see some significant damage.

Taking your finger nail and scratching the side panel... Even on cases that are high quality, you'll likely see some damage from that. Shoving your fist through a mesh grill... Yeah, you'll likely see some damage from that. Yanking at a tooless clip instead of examining how to use it properly.. Yeah, that's likely to cause some damage. I could do this with just about any case and see similar results, so to isolate and single this single case as a demonstration... That's just tacky.

I don't mind doors... actually I can't remember the last time I used my DVD Drive. The only time I use it is when I have to install Windows, or a game (extremely rare).

I actually like the look of it without the door, though.

I've already had my hands on the hades (as another reviewer I know had one recently) and it was a pretty well built case. The tooless mechanism is pretty easy and strait forward to use.
Normally I have one hand on the case to stabilize it when I'm unlocking things like that.

The powder coat wasn't scratched, he was scratching off his nail because the texture is rough.

The Magnet cover on this sample didn't have a problem with moving around. If you were to drag your hand across the top of the case to feel the texture of it, it wouldn't move.

Bay covers are not some super 5mm thick ABS plastic; but then again, what does it matter? Are you really gonna flex them that much? They pop out easy and are no more or less flexible than what comes with Antec cases, Cooler Master cases, and some other brands (ala 2mm thick ABS plastic)

He seriously just hated on the thing because he could; ignored the fact that it was a silent case to begin with and can run a modern system without an issue.

I suggest people add airflow with the bottom 120mm fan mount but that's it really. More exhaust too if you really want it.

I just watched his video and it is a disgrace. I completely agree with you, he is a troll. Nothing constructive to say at all and then even has the disrespect to ask NZXT to collect as he couldnt be bothered to even put a build inside it. What he has done with that video is tried to cause attention and more traffic to himself....

Both good reviews. His doesn't tally.

Liek omg brah, that tool-less clip is so hard to use.

What a retard. The only complaints worth a spit that he brought up was the *look* of the SATA power and what not... which can be remedied with this.. though the case isn't windowed.. no it doesn't really matter for airflow reasons.. but whatever.

As for the large video card issue... you are an idiot, repeat, idiot, if you put a $600 card in a case you haven't looked at before. For those interested in the H2, they will check to see if their card fits....derp.

For a $100 case, the H2 kicks ass. My only issue.. well not even issue, just wish, was that some of the HDD bays be removable... like the top bays of the FT01... but then again, I've been spoiled with this FT01's features, and it's almost 2x the cost of the H2

Tom used to be pretty interesting, as in a year ago.. he wasn't such a cocky low life. Now since he getz fr33 st00f brah, he's awesome? I think not. You [Tom] just made OC3D look like a joke of a review site. Cant operate a tool-less bracket.. yet you have years of experience, which you talk about for 3+ minutes? Please just ****. There's no other way of saying it, ****.

I'll stick with real review sites... and Linus's Tech Tips [yep, I think he's awesome... he always has the good stuff early, goes in depth, and has real experience :x] for case overviews / reviews.

I'd listen to Linus any day over Tom Logan.

Linus makes his fair share of mistakes, but it's mostly one shot "live" stuff so it's expected. And He's actually rather easy going about things.

Truth, Linus Sebastian > Tom Logan.

Its actually a cheap tacky version of the R3, everything on it looks so flimsy. Its just phantom inside, but then its ruined by the exterior.
