I stopped reading right here. The only 2 fans that take air in have to blow past the HDD rack. Any cables in the way ruin airflow. Sata power cables are bulky.

You can disagree all you want, but it's a fact.

Normally I have one hand on the case to stabilize it when I'm unlocking things like that.

The powder coat wasn't scratched, he was scratching off his nail because the texture is rough.

The Magnet cover on this sample didn't have a problem with moving around. If you were to drag your hand across the top of the case to feel the texture of it, it wouldn't move.

Bay covers are not some super 5mm thick ABS plastic; but then again, what does it matter? Are you really gonna flex them that much? They pop out easy and are no more or less flexible than what comes with Antec cases, Cooler Master cases, and some other brands (ala 2mm thick ABS plastic)

He seriously just hated on the thing because he could; ignored the fact that it was a silent case to begin with and can run a modern system without an issue.

I suggest people add airflow with the bottom 120mm fan mount but that's it really. More exhaust too if you really want it.
Tator, I normally take what you say with a serious amount of respect. But.. sorry, not this time.

First - This case is not the Hades. I've got hands on with the Phantom, it's pretty decent quality too - but this case is not the Phantom.

I saw the scratches. I'm not blind, and I'm not taking his word for it. I also saw how flimsy and tacky the magnetic cover was. Again, I don't need to take anyone's word for it. It's an after thought, it's garbage. The bay covers.. you may have a point, but they're not up to the Phantom's quality. None of the case is.. and that's the problem.

Seems like your only defense for NZXT comes from your dislike of Tom Logan.

What a retard. The only complaints worth a spit that he brought up was the *look* of the SATA power and what not... which can be remedied with this.. though the case isn't windowed.. no it doesn't really matter for airflow reasons.. but whatever.

As for the large video card issue... you are an idiot, repeat, idiot, if you put a $600 card in a case you haven't looked at before. For those interested in the H2, they will check to see if their card fits....derp.

For a $100 case, the H2 kicks ass. My only issue.. well not even issue, just wish, was that some of the HDD bays be removable... like the top bays of the FT01... but then again, I've been spoiled with this FT01's features, and it's almost 2x the cost of the H2

Tom used to be pretty interesting, as in a year ago.. he wasn't such a cocky low life. Now since he getz fr33 st00f brah, he's awesome? I think not. You [Tom] just made OC3D look like a joke of a review site. Cant operate a tool-less bracket.. yet you have years of experience, which you talk about for 3+ minutes? Please just ****. There's no other way of saying it, ****.

I'll stick with real review sites... and Linus's Tech Tips [yep, I think he's awesome... he always has the good stuff early, goes in depth, and has real experience :x] for case overviews / reviews.
That tool-less design IS crap, and it IS hard to work with. I should know, I have the exact same tool-less clip on my Phantom. ..And I hated it.. (I nearly broke it as well) and it doesn't even hold the drive in place. I had to use thumb screws on the other side. It's one of my only beefs with the phantom.

Phantom, Lancool K62, Coolermaster 690 II, hell, even a HAF beats this thing. Nevermind serious cases like the FT02, or the 800D.

Truth, Linus Sebastian > Tom Logan.
Linus isn't a reviewer, people. He unboxes things. He reads the marketing blurbs and that's it. Reviewing is a different can of worms.

Silver Arrow review - I lol'd too.

This man speaks truth. They tried to copy and one-up Fractal, and they failed.

Yeah, how elegant is that tacked on POS magnetic fan cover? What on earth was even the point? Sorry - this case is -not- elegant, it's ghetto. It reminds me of NZXTs earlier cases.. And that's not a good thing.

I concur to some extent. As previously stated in another NZXT H2 thread, I think this case reminds of the Antec Performance One which I think this case is directly competing against. The only thing i like about this case is the hotswap fans which is really awesome.

------
I wouldn't be surprised about the build quality of most of NZXT cases, i mean what they got from most of their model line up is their design, features, and pricing. However, there are some cases from NZXT like the Phantom and others that shows that they have the capability of making good quality cases.

I suggest listening this time; I've been with review sites where people got the boot for acting like Tom Logan does. Or from taking money from Company X to either boast their product, or slam a product from a competitor.

Tom's rant on the case is nothing but minor details or overblown nonsense.

I do not defend NZXT. This case wouldn't win any awards from me as it's nothing astounding. But that doesn't make it bad.

Like I've said before, and like with most NZXT cases (Phantom & Tempest being exceptions) they need to make the side panels thicker. The flexibility of them adds to case vibrations.

That wasn't a scratch though, it was his skin coming off because of the texture of the case. Trust me, I did it too when I touched the thing. I also put a bit of 91% Iso on a paper towel and wiped it off.

Like I said as well, unless you put a good amount of force into it, that top fan cover is not coming off. He was forcing it off.

Besides the H.A.F. 912, none of those cases beat this one in base price. For an equally equipped case (HAF 912 Advanced) you'd spend the same in base price (MSRP.) All of those cases are 20-50% more on average, if not more.

Elegance is a point of opinion. Not fact.

The fan cover is not tacked on, I can state that. Believe it or not, but they've been toying with that idea and similar case designs for well over a year.

Um, no. This is not a fact. The case also has a 120mm fan that can be bottom mounted if the front fans aren't providing enough airflow. This would bypass the HDD restrictions from the start.

If you had even bothered to read my post, which you didn't and ignorantly chose to dismiss because of one sentence, you would of noticed I even pointed out an easy solution to minimize a sata cable restricting air flow.

Another thing... When has a sata cable been bulky? Are you thinking IDE? I have a temporary computer with the side panel removed that is right next to me. Even with no cable management, the air flow restriction is minimum at best. The cable is like a 1/3rd of an inch. Your definition of bulky clearly needs to be redefined.

Look, I'll keep this simple. If the best a reviewer can come up with to compliment a case is "the front panel cables are black" then they are obviously trolling.

well said, too many throughout this thread are posting that video... quite clearly Tom's (OC3D) little fanboyz I won't deny his videos are terrible and as Tator Tot has said the manner in which he reviewed this particular case is shocking. Its unfortunate he has such a big platform to spout his pathetic, unsavoury opinion he is very arrogant.

The review tab here: http://www.nzxt.com/new/products/classic_series/h2 clearly tells a different story to what has been said on this terrible video from oc3d.
