The only thing i would have remembered is seeing the nasty framerate drop from the console versions.

Well... To say I'm disappointed isn't that true, though I am in some aspects. They did keep the gameplay the same, which isn't what I was looking forward to now that I'm looking at the final output. They did improve on the lighting and how the game looked for the consoles. Personally, unless you actually take the time to note out what looks different between games, I don't see much difference.

The fact that they've refined DX9 to be ALMOST as pretty as DX10 is impressive. Remember that AvP was in DX9 primarily with DX11 layered to add a few extra details and fill the game with a bit more eye candy, namely the stealth kills and such.

If I'm wrong about this game having DX11 at least layered on top of the existing DX9/10, I'll probably still buy it because I want a decent game that looks nice and has a long play time. Unfortunately the Call of Duty style perks and kill streak system was extremely lame of Crytek. I can't tell you how much of a turn off that is for the multiplayer system. Why they have to add so many extra things to the system I don't know, but I personally think that Crysis Multiplayer is more than fun enough with the deathmatch system that it is.

This is just my two cents though.

With all the snagging it done to the PC I'd thought the story was the last redeeming factor of the game because the first crysis left somewhat of a cliffhanger but apparently nope. Well that's $60 I saved...

And here comes the PC community with foot in mouth... once again. What was pummeled again and again to only have shortcomings in gameplay and graphical settings, came with good reviews/consensus. Receiving solid scores from multiple sources, such as metacritic, with an 87(in comparison to counter-strike source with a 88). The elitist snob/self labeled enthusiast that has plagued these forums, that simply does not have validity just because you can build a computer.Although, one can certainly say the UI graphic settings/DX11 shouldn't be overlooked, it doesn't lend to the endless rants/negativity upon threads which last innumerable pages.

The bottom line is, you as a consumer(PC market,a small percentage of multiplatform developer pie) have a false pretense of power, as to negotiate what is published versus what is actually completed. The developers have all will and resources to see their ideas come into fruition.

STOP COMPLAINING.

EDIT: FLAME SUIT ON! Just adding another opinion by playing devils advocate.

Is it true that the SP's still the same as the first game?

So, according to yourself, it is elitist to expect something good for your money at 60$. Why wouldn't people complain. Do you go to a restuarant and the waiter tells you to shut up and eat whatever we give you. No, at least i hope not.

Paying costumers expect something for their money, if it isn't there they wont buy it.

Also, who cares if people complain about the game. Why not, they get out their frustrations with something, and often times a conversation of what could be done is struck up.

As to the bolded part, go find a different forum if you can't handle differing opinions.
