The GTX 590 was scheduled to be released on 3/22 and was pushed back for driver reasons, so the DX11 patch was "probably" pushed back also, so they had to remove Crysis DX11 from the site.

Then you see some advertising left over for DX11 here:

It's sad that people are eating up the GTX 550ti when in fact a GTX 460 768 is about the same price, but outpaces it twofold.

Yeah, you're right about that.

If Nvidia needs to release the GTX 590 with DX11, you can imagine how demanding Crysis 2 will be.

They're launching the GTX 590 on March 24th.

So, they're not going to announce something else on the same day.

Today we will be launching our new gtx590...
The card requires 2 x 8pin and its HOT though our cooling system is great and innovative...
in other news we have our next geforce card : Gts 630... Its a single slot, low profile, no power needed.
This small card can blow the gtx590 into pieces in every aspect...
Thank u nvidia...

Seems odd they would skip it in publicity to release something else...

DX11.1 ? Either way they're always a step ahead.....
How do you work that out? ATi was first with 40nm, DX10, 10.1 and 11. They have the first (and currently only) dual GPU card with a DX11 capable GPU and have had the most powerful graphics card for a great deal of months. The 5970. Now they have the 6990 which is even more powerful.

Nvidia's rarely a step ahead.

Truth ^ Nvidia are good but they have not been a step ahead for a little while now, perhaps they will be soon !
