But I'm just real tired of the assumptions you and others constantly make. I've never taken my iPad out of the house except to use in the car so my baby can watch Mickey Mouse on road trips. I also don't sit in coffee shops pretending to write movie scripts. I'm also not rich, but again, I make a fine living for myself. I'm also not some whiney punk that trolls internet forums angry at the world because others can afford things I cannot.
Finally, I also have a personally built PC that I don't use anymore. To give you an idea of its age, it has a Q6600 and a 8800GT. I don't buy Apple products because they look cool, I buy them because they suit my needs and lifestyle, just like a vast majority of Apple customers. No one blatantly wastes money on expensive gizmos solely to look cool in public (unless of course, they are literally filthy rich). Get over yourself.
The 'tablet' or the 'ibook' or whatever other words you use to describe such devices are still NEW.
We are still finding the usage for these devices. The longer we have these devices around, more usage will be found, more apps will be developed to cater these needs, and our lifestyle will ultimately change around these devices.
For those not old enough to remember the first wave of cellular phones and the transition between that and toward the smartphone... Same story, different devices.
People wondered WHY we needed internet access to our phones. "PHONES are PHONES. WHy do I need a camera, a wireless capability, and a speakerphone????"
Look where we are now. Most of the masses cannot go a day without touch-browsing their Facebooks on their smartphones.
Who are YOU to come up and say "We don't need iPads, Tabs, or touchscreen devices bigger than 4 inches because it's too big for my needs and everyone else who get it are rich snobs who want to prove that they are rich snobs."???
Our current market runs on supply-demand. If there were no demands on these things, they wouldn't make any more iPads.
Just because I ABHOR Justin Bieber, does not mean he shouldn't exist. There are MILLION others who are willing to pay to see him sing/act/whatnot.
Oh OH OH How about this? I HATE the existence of people who hate on gimmicky iPad-like devices. Those people are just snobby ignorant people.
See how I win the argument there?
