i put it to stock when i found i couldnt boot
i am starting to think that its because it isnt a refrence card but i would have thought i could flash it back to stock
post #12 of 24
Nope it isn't a reference card, but normally flashing it back to the stock bios, should work...

PCS++ 6950 has twin fan cooler and bios switch, but the gpu chip itself won't unlock which is why its recalled. Technically they won't even flash. I dunno which one you have but it sounds like a duck?

Hmm after some looking in that link you posted, your card = 254950. A user posted 254951 = dual bios card = PCS++. Thus looks like your card may not be flash capable?

Boot into windows on switch #1 , open winflash in windows , select the bios u want to use (Powercolour 6970 or 6950) , switch over to #2 while in winflash (wont cause damage) , click program and .. voilaa u have successfully flashed #2 , now reboot and it should be fine .

you cant overwrite the bios on #1 thats purely for backup , ur switch has to be on #2 to flash the new bios , this has to be done just before the flash .
