10mb line here in old blighty.

Works out at about 1.2mb/s peak down and a piss poor 50kb/s up.

It's not amazing (at least I didn't think so until I saw what you guys in the U.S. have to deal with) but I can download most games over Steam in about 2-3 hours (i'm uncapped too)

You've confused me. Are you saying that you have a 10 Mb line and you're getting 1.2 MB/s or are you actually saying you're getting 1.2 Mb on a 10 Mb line? Capitalization matters.
