The GTX580 under load takes about 350W from what I have seen, so any good 600 watt or great power supply will do you good. Though I recommend your PSU because as power consumption gets greater and greater over the years (unless we discover some other form of energy which will greatly reduce power consumption), you will be prepared and loaded for the future.

If you read the Corsair PSU reviews you asked others to read, you will find that the non-defective units perform pretty well (though there are things to be said about the old TX series in today's market, same for some older HX units, and the budget CX units that are decent for the price but not amazing, etc.). Of course you need to look at pricing and the features of units on a model-by-model basis.

Nobody is saying that you are stupid, just that you apparently have a misinformed opinion based on a hasty conclusion drawn from a very small sample size.

Don't completely trash a brand and expect others to be reasonable with their comments. At least accept that others like the brand and have had good luck with them.

We all have our brands that we hate lol. Mine is MSI. But even in the thread I made to tell of my MSI failures in my sig I am very respectful to all the comments from people that said they have good luck with them.

Some of them are overpriced, but definitely not junk.
