[BD]Head of EA's free-to-play division calls pricing of $60 games "exploitative" - Page 4

If EA swings the banhammer at people that say DA2 sucks on the DA2 boards I can't even imagine what they are going to throw at this guy. Ban him from his car that he bought with salary dollars from EA, maybe ban him from his house?

I'd gladly pay $60 for a new release game unfortunately that is not the case here.

The last game I bought for $60 was Resident Evil 2, and it included it's original strat guide..

Someone put this guy in charge of the entire company. Games should be priced between 20 and 40 dollars, depending on the length of the single player. MP only games will start at the low end of the spectrum since they're easy to clone make.

Yes, they should. Those royalties should be dropped. IMO there should be no financial incentive to any of the platforms, leave it to whichever one the dev wants to put their product on.

I seem to remember paying $40 for Star Wars Dark Forces (DOS) back in 1995(?), I was 10. Back then you could get three games for $120 versus todays two, but then again you could also run any game on a computer so long as you had enough memory (32mb of ram!). Anti-Piracy was analog (see Monkey Island 2) and things like "Sound Blaster" and "CD Drives" were luxury items. Apogee and Lucasarts were king.
