Because inflation dictates that one price should be set and kept at that price forever.

Am I right?

It isn't inflation, it's just publishers charging a premium. I blame it on consoles. Console games are $60, so publishers like Activision say "Well, they pay $60 on consoles, so let's charge $60 on PC too." and other publishers start doing it as well, like EA.

I'm never going to pay $60 for a PC game. I'll happily pay $50, because that's what the price of a PC game should be.

Thats ignorant saying it isn't inflation because games for all system were $50 ten years ago and it goes up in price in the past couple of years you call greed.

You do realize things costs more to make because the cost of living has gone up in the past ten years thus they have to pay their devs more.

Seriously EA is just a whore for publicity at this point.

First they say something that pisses us off, then they piss us off more, and more, and more, then they say something good, and then they piss us off.

I think this is getting tiring, they don't care about the $60 price tag, they love it.

Guys, never! never! assume EA is not wanting to exploit you.

From breaking their forum TOS and getting all your games barred from usage, to charging you $60.

They just know they need you to like them, and they know they need to keep whoring for publicity.

Ever since Modern Warfare 2, $60 has been the mainstream pricetag for PC games. If only the boycott worked..

Pssht, you read what they tried to do back in the summer of '09? EA was going to require ALL ea games to be registered to the original purchaser, in some kinda way. Where you basically could not buy or sell used EA games, ever. I'd have never bought another EA game if they had done it, or ever do it. Steam walks on thin ice with me.
