If I do, I am staying at X3 on this board. It maxes out at 125w, so I think I will stick with 95w so I can have room for oc.

I might be doing the same thing you did soon.

Oh right, that will be wise on that motherboard. If it does unlock to quad at least you have the option to have it if you update your motherboard to a 140w+.

I ran stable for a 2hr Prime95 at stock voltage and 3.9GHz X4. I have a thread on it. I BSOD at 4GHz on stock voltage.

I got a champ! I was at 44C full load. How hot was yours getting?

Stock voltage! That is amazing. Mine runs underload @ 49C, currently running as a dual @ 4.2ghz/1.52v on new motherboard.

When running as a triple core I had it on 3.8ghz/1.45v underload @47C, didn't dare to run it any higher on my old motherboard.

The CPU will be good until 55C ish. I normally aim for 53C max and never go above. Only problem will be your mosfets on the motherboard.

EDIT: Posted in your thread

Danggit! This board is holding me back! The thread in my sig is the one I was talking about. My Mosfet appeared to hit 81C at some point during my Prime95 Run. It was mostly between 41C and 44C. I don't know how long it was 81C, when, or if it was a glitch, but I watched it for an hour afterward last night and it did not go over 44C.

Oh, I thought I better point this out. 1.275v on X4 is what the bios put it at. Rediculous how well it does at that compared to yours. WTH!

It is going to be a few days before I try X2 and X3 configurations out.

Is your chip C3?

Man, I would call Asus if you are not getting anything on the forum yet. I know you should have control over all 4 cores on that board.
